Pharos Systems is committed to protecting your privacy. The following privacy policy describes the rights, limitations and restrictions on the use of information collected by the Pharos Cloud service. By using Pharos Cloud, you consent to the terms of our privacy policy and the collection and processing of device information, printing activity, and basic user information for the purposes stated below.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

We collect the following personally identifiable customer and user information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Pharos Cloud cloud service and to provide customer support.

Online Community

To improve our service, products, and overall quality, Pharos Systems offers the opportunity to ask questions and provide suggestions and contributions within our online community. You may be asked, at times, to provide personal information such as name and e-mail address. Please note that any comments or materials sent to us, including feedback data such as questions, comments, suggestions and any other responses, are deemed to be non-confidential. We have no obligation with respect to such responses, and Pharos Systems shall be free to use, reproduce, distribute, and publicly display such comments and materials without reference to you personally. Pharos Systems is also free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how or techniques contained in such responses for any purpose whatsoever.

Pharos Cloud Reporting Data Collection

Pharos Cloud Device Scout

Pharos Cloud collects print device information including device IP address and hostname, print device meter read information, print device status and consumable information. A complete list of data collected by the Pharos Cloud Device Scout is available upon request.

Pharos Cloud Print Scout

Pharos Cloud collects print user information obtained by the customer’s Active Directory, information about the originating application, print device information, and print job details such as color vs black and white, simplex vs duplex, costs, number of pages, etc. A complete list of data collected by the Pharos Cloud Print Scout is available upon request.

Pharos Cloud Uniprint Scout

Pharos Cloud collects print user information obtained from the Pharos Uniprint System, information about the originating application, print device information, Uniprint costing information, and print job details. Use of Pharos Cloud Reporting Data

As a user of the Pharos Cloud platform, you can configure the Pharos Cloud scouts to restrict certain data from collection and transmittal. Pharos employees, partners or third parties do not have access to your data without your written consent. For certain support scenarios, it may be necessary for Pharos support or professional services staff to temporarily access your data. In such cases, Pharos will first request permission to access the data and will identify the individual(s) granted access and the time period required to successfully perform the function.

Pharos has the ability to anonymize data that we collect by the removal of personal information. Pharos may anonymize and aggregate data collected through Pharos Cloud for any purpose. For example, we may use and aggregate data to improve the Pharos Cloud platform, to analyze the health and capabilities of the Pharos Cloud service, or to prepare statistical analyses.

What Happens in the Event of a Change of Control?

If the entire or substantial ownership of the site were to change, your user data may be transferred to the new owner for continuity of services. In any such transfer of information, your data would remain protected under the agreement of this Privacy Policy.

Keeping Your Information Safe

Pharos Systems believes the security of customer data is paramount, and uses commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information collected through the Service. To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your account (such as complex password requirements). At all times, you are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications from Pharos Systems. Pharos Systems is not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any third party.

Children

Pharos Cloud is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from any person who is under the age of 13 or allow them to register an account. If you have reason to believe that we may have collected any such personal data, please notify us immediately.

Updates to Privacy Statement

Pharos reserves the right to make changes to this policy. If we make changes, we will revise this online privacy policy to reflect those changes and revise the effective date of the policy.
